What is QRLifetime?
QRLifetime is a free, browser-based QR code generator. You can create QR codes for URLs, WiFi networks, contact cards (vCard), email addresses, SMS messages, and plain text — all without creating an account. Every code is generated locally in your browser using JavaScript, so your data never leaves your device.
Unlike many QR code generators that lock your codes behind a subscription, QRLifetime generates static codes that are permanently embedded in the PNG or SVG file you download. There's no server-side dependency — your QR code will scan correctly in 2035 just as it does today.
How to create a QR code

Minimum QR code size by scan distance
The 10:1 rule: divide the distance the code will be scanned from by 10 to get its minimum printed side length. Below this, phone cameras fail to lock on.

Add a quiet zone of at least 4 modules around the code, and print from SVG rather than PNG for anything above A5.
How much data fits in a QR code
Maximum capacity of one QR code at version 40 (177×177 modules). Higher error correction means the code survives more damage, but holds less data.

Frequently asked questions
Is this QR code generator really free, with no limit?
Yes. There is no account, no quota, no watermark and no cap on how many codes you can create and download. QRLifetime does not sell a paid tier that the free version is a crippled copy of: the PNG and SVG you download are the complete files, and you may use them commercially.
Can my QR code expire or stop working?
No. QRLifetime only produces static QR codes: the destination is encoded directly into the pixels of the image, with no redirect service in between. The code keeps working even if QRLifetime disappears tomorrow. A dynamic QR code, by contrast, stops working the moment the provider’s subscription lapses.
Can I change where a printed QR code points to?
No, and that is the trade-off of a static code: the information lives in the pixels, so a new destination means a new code. If you must be able to change the target after printing, you need a paid dynamic QR code. A middle path is to encode a URL you control and handle the redirect on your own domain.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Encoding happens entirely in JavaScript inside your browser. The WiFi password, IBAN or contact details you type are never transmitted to QRLifetime and appear in no server log. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the generator keeps working.
How big does my QR code need to be when printed?
Apply the 10:1 rule: divide the intended scanning distance by 10. A code scanned from 30 cm (menu, flyer) should be at least 3 cm across; from 1 m (poster), at least 10 cm. Also leave a quiet zone of at least 4 modules around the code, or cameras will fail to lock on.
Can I put a logo in the middle of the QR code?
Yes, up to roughly 30 % of the code area, provided you use error correction level H. That level keeps the code readable even when 30 % of its surface is covered or damaged. Always test the finished code with two different phones before sending anything to print.
